I took this picture last spring. the river is the Garonne that runs through Toulouse.
I think using just this part of the picture introduces a sort of ambiguity to the image, instead of just a tree stuck at the top of the waterfall, it might be about to go over.

Sparrow Village
This photo is of the child's hand being held. I like the intimacy it depicts and the fragility of the ill child.
This photo one from Sparrow Rainbow Village, an HIV/AIDS hospice in South Africa. I took this picture of my friend holding a child (nearly 2 years old) from the infant ward.

Adam's Photo
This photo was taken in the evening in late summer at wetlands near my house. I like the the reflection off the water next to the geese. I particularly liked the goose that was somewhat hidden by a bush so I chose to crop tightly around him which makes him a much more significant part of the image.
This image is the result.

Liza's Photos
These are pictures I took of a street in Copenhagen, Denmark. I cropped and zoomed in on the tables in front of the cafe. -Liza F
Katie's Photos
I took this picture last year. When you look at the original version you think that it's a picture of a flag pole that displays line and shadow but when you zoom in you can see the Michigan Big House and it looks like a completely different picture.
Kelleys Photos
These photos are of a tree outside of the RiverRoad Coffee House. I thought the ice wrapped around the branches is such a beautiful image, so I loved getting a close up photo of that phenomenon.
